Carob trees grow across the Mediterranean. Their seeds are slowly stewed to make a natural syrup which is used as a sugar alternative, full of fibre, calcium and iron.

Use it in brownies, or spread on toast, pancakes, and muffins, or drizzle on Greek yogurt and fruits.
